Buy iceWEB with all its' features

Key points of the report are as follows  –

“What impressed us most about the universal unified storage solutions from IceWEB was the extensive feature set, especially given their extremely competitive prices (IceWEB claims to be 30% lower than the street price of their name brand competitors). With the release of IceSTORM, the company is proving it’s its products are more than just “me too” storage systems and is certainly worthy of consideration for any sized data center looking to reduce its storage management burden.”

“The problem is that the cost of feature-rich unified storage from traditional enterprise storage has been outside the realm of typical SME budgets. As a result most of these IT managers end up either making their needs fit the limitations of a single service solution (SAN only / NAS only) or they buy both a SAN and a NAS, which adds complexity and cost. IceWEB is positioning their Unified Storage solutions to deliver a feature-rich storage system at price points the SME can afford.”

“From a data services perspective the IceSTORM is surprisingly ready to compete with the major name brand providers of unified storage. It has the ability to pool and tier storage based on drive type; for example, logs can be placed on SSD, databases on high performance SAS and file shares on SATA. The SSD tier can also be used as a cache, so that active data will automatically be served from solid state. And, the system provides extensive data protection capabilities including eight types of RAID, data replication, data integrity checking and snapshots.”

IceWEB’s CMO Steven Toole commented on the report, saying “Storage Switzerland is a long-trusted, unbiased authority in data storage technologies. They’re very smart people so it comes as no surprise to me that they see the value IceWEB brings to mid-enterprise organizations looking to simplify their cloud and virtual environments, increase the efficiency of their storage resources across multiple protocols, and obtain enterprise capabilities and performance at a fraction of the cost of traditional storage vendors. As more analysts become aware of IceWEB, we’re certain that additional positive reports will follow.”

Archive product to archive email, files, SharePoint, and other content types and applications

ZL Technologies.
Although considerably smaller than the other suppliers in this evaluation, ZL

Technologies delivers rich archiving functionality. Large enterprises use the vendor’s Unified

Archive product to archive email, files, SharePoint, and other content types and applications.

Beyond basic archiving, the product includes strong search, supervision, and eDiscovery

capabilities and the vendor continues to make advances on these fronts. ZL Technologies has an

extensive, integrated set of offerings to support message archiving, but in comparison with other

vendors in this evaluation the vendor’s go-to-market resources are limited and it has acquired

far fewer total customers.

Nasuni Data Continuity

As a next-generation storage controller, one of the Filer’s most critical jobs is to ensure that a gold copy of your data and all its versions are periodically sent to the cloud, and that the data residing in your office for current use is in the form of copies. The Filer’s advanced, cloud-specific snapshot technology achieves just that. The Filer’s other most critical job is to encrypt the data with OpenPGP AES-256 at the edge, so the data can never be breached without your encryption keys (which we encourage you to hold in a secure offsite location). With the technology in place to assure that your data in the cloud is both fully versioned and secure, many exciting new features become possible.

These new controllers work seamlessly with the cloud to deliver Nasuni’s Data Continuity Services: global access, offsite protection, unprecedented ease of data restoration and recovery, rock-solid local performance and immediate access to as much storage as you need. Our system is secure, controlled by you, and backed by a robust service level agreement (SLA), so you can take advantage of the high efficiencies and cost effectiveness of the cloud with complete confidence.

NavigateStorage has a unique solution that you must know more about. After learning a bit more then go to the website and see the new world about Nasuni don't forget the partner who sent you - NavigateStorage.  978-318-9000

Considering adding a vendor with a difference to your product portfolio?  Then join this webcast to hear more about the innovative work SGI products are involved in and create differentiation for your company.

Next generation sequencing promises to revolutionize the way in which biological phenomenon are studied.  Unlike traditional Sanger sequencing, where production was measured in hundreds or thousands of bases, next generation sequencing, can produce billions of base pairs of data every day from whole genomes, specific tissues, or parts of the genome, during specific stages in an organism's development.  While this newfound ability to generate massive quantities of data has opened up novel avenues of study, it has challenged the existing computational infrastructure, including traditional distributed compute clusters.

Hear how Dr. Matthew MacManes of UC Berkeley has been able to leverage the shared memory architecture of the SGI UV against problems that just a few years ago were considered intractable.  See how SGI solutions deliver the speed and scale for the most demanding computational workloads in biosciences.

HIPAA, SOX and SEC17 - Nexsan Assureon

FAST RETURN ON INVESTMENT

Assureon provides a strong return on investment (ROI). It can offload more expensive primary storage to free up space for active data. Assureon will reduce the amount of data in monthly full backups, saving time, personnel and money.

EASY TO MANAGE

All local and remote Assureons can be managed from a web browser within a single-pane-of-glass. The web-based GUI makes it easy to create retention rules and associate them with files and folders. Once installed onto the Windows Servers and configured, the Assureon Windows Client copies or moves files onto the Assureon, leaving a small shortcut file behind. Hyper speed restores are available, using the shortcuts.

Another way to utilize Assureon is with the Assureon Edge, an appliance that presents CIFS/NFS shares to Windows and UNIX/Linux environments. The Assureon Edge in turn stores all files on the Assureon.

All files can optionally be encrypted with AES-256. The built-in key manager ensures that all keys are safely stored in 3 locations worldwide. Industry-leading single point deletion technology permits Assureon to effectively delete all copies of a file worldwide by destroying the file's encryption key.
Users are authenticated with Active Directory or with digital certificates to ensure they can only get to files for which they are authorized. Audit trails report on user's activities such as file accesses and denials. Legal hold can be easily placed on any set of files, overriding their original retention periods.

EASY TO USE

Individual users do not to change how they work–archiving is transparent to them. Files and folders, though offloaded, appear to be in the same familiar locations thanks to the shortcut files that are left behind. Once archived, prior versions of files are available with the right click of the user's mouse in Windows Explorer. A web-based GUI makes it easy to search the entire archive with role-based restrictions. All existing applications work unaltered with Assureon because there are no special APIs required.

INTEGRITY

Each time a file is saved, it is fingerprinted so its history and contents cannot be altered after the fact. This write-once, read many time (WORM) storage mechanism is part of how Assureon meets even the strictest regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, SOX and SEC17.

LONGEVITY

Two copies of all files, along with their fingerprints, are stored on separate RAID disk sets. Two Assureon systems can be replicate to each other to protect against a site failure. Files are continually verified against their fingerprint, repaired with their copies and safeguarded by RAID disk arrays, for days or decades. Native active/active replication protects against site disasters with automatic failover while delivering increased performance over active/passive systems. Assureon supports both compliant and non-compliant policies simultaneously while competitors require two systems to be purchased in order to provide both. Files can be AES-256 encrypted. The keys are stored safely at 3 sites by the integrated key management service.

CLOUD-READY

Multi-tenancy features allow service providers to offer archive as a service. This also allows large organizations to achieve strict separation of departments or projects. An on-premise Assureon can replicate to a cloud-based archive service, which is powered by Assureon.
